Description/The Office's Mission

Office 24 is responsible for the accounting; in particular:

• In accordance with the Central Accounting Department, it coordinates the formulation of proposals relative to the Administration's annual and long term budgets and the relative adjustments; it coordinates the administrative-accounting operations for the closure of the financial year;
• It defines the specifications of the accounting IT system and is responsible for updating and for the completeness of the data entered;
• It coordinates the procedures contemplated for financial statement variations, depending on emerging management needs, informing Office 1 in advance;
• It prepares the management accounting data flows destined for Office 1;
• On the basis of indications formulated by the director, it coordinates the obligations and procedures required by the laws in force on the management of fixed assets and the possible assigning of flats reserved to employees, transferring the relative instructions to the local offices;
• It checks the administrative accounting statements of the officers in charge of payments;
• It manages the credit recovery procedures in execution of the decisions of the Court of Auditors, as well as those not assigned to the other Directorates.
